# Account Language

Change the language of the Prime MOQ admin panel for your own account, without changing anything your customers see.

**Short answer.** Settings > Account language sets the language of the Prime MOQ admin interface for your own account, covering menus, labels and buttons. It has no effect on your storefront. The wording a blocked shopper sees comes from Message languages, further down the same Settings page.

## Key takeaways

- It changes your own admin panel only, never your storefront.
- Six languages are available, English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, German and Italian.
- The setting is per account, so a colleague can work in a different language.
- Shopper-facing wording is a separate setting called Message languages.

## What it changes

**Account language** translates the Prime MOQ admin panel itself: the navigation,
the field labels, the buttons and the help text you read while building a rule.

It changes nothing a customer can see. Your storefront's language comes from
Shopify's own store language settings, and the wording of a limit message comes
from [Message languages](https://primemoq.app/help/settings/message-languages) in the same Settings
page. Neither one follows this dropdown.

| Setting | Who sees the result |
| --- | --- |
| Account language | You, inside the Prime MOQ admin |
| Message languages | Your customers, when a rule blocks them |
| Shopify store languages | Your customers, everywhere else on the storefront |

## Change your account language

**Open Settings.** The section is near the top of the page.

**Pick your language.** Six are available: English, French, Spanish, Portuguese,
German and Italian.

**Save.** Settings shares one save bar across the whole page, so this saves at
the same time as any other change you have made there.

The panel switches immediately, and nothing else in the app depends on the
choice, so you can switch back at any point.

## Common mistakes

- Reading it as a storefront setting. Nothing here reaches a shopper. If your
customers are seeing English limit messages, the fix is in
Message languages.

- Expecting it to apply to your whole team. The setting belongs to your
account, not to the shop, so a colleague signing in still gets their own.

- Looking here for your currency or date format. Those come from
Display and locale, which is read only and
synced from Shopify.

## FAQ

### Does changing my account language affect other team members?

No. The setting is stored per account rather than per shop, so everyone chooses their own and one person switching to French does not move anyone else.

### Will this change the language my customers see limit messages in?

No. Limit message wording is set separately under Message languages, which covers every language your store publishes rather than just your own.

### Which languages can I choose from?

English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, German and Italian. If your language is not on that list the panel stays in English, and it has no effect on which languages you can write customer-facing messages in.

### Does the app remember my choice on another computer?

Yes. The language is saved against your account rather than the browser, so signing in somewhere else brings the same panel language with you.

**Best for:** Merchants and staff who would rather work inside Prime MOQ in a language other than English.

**Applies to:** All plans
