# Display and Locale

A read-only view of the store currency, locale and time zone Prime MOQ is using, all synced from your Shopify settings.

**Short answer.** Settings > Display and locale shows three values read straight from your Shopify store, store currency, locale and time zone. Prime MOQ uses them to format value limits, dates and numbers, and the timestamps in tables and emails. There is nothing to edit here. Change them in Shopify admin and this section follows.

## Key takeaways

- All three values are read only, and owned by your Shopify store settings.
- Store currency formats value limits and their messages.
- Locale controls date and number formatting inside the app.
- Time zone is what every timestamp in a table, a report or an email is written in.

## What is shown

| Row | What Prime MOQ uses it for |
| --- | --- |
| Store currency | Formatting value limits and the amounts written into limit messages |
| Locale | Date and number formatting throughout the admin |
| Time zone | Every timestamp you see, in tables, in reports and in emailed alerts |

All three are read from your Shopify store each time the page loads, so the
section is a mirror rather than a copy that can drift.

## Why there is nothing to edit

These values belong to your store, not to Prime MOQ. A separate copy would be a
second answer to a question your store has already answered, and the first time
the two disagreed, a report would carry timestamps in one time zone while your
Shopify orders carried them in another.

To change any of them, edit the store settings in Shopify admin. The next time
this page loads, it shows the new value.

## When it is worth checking

**A timestamp looks wrong.** If a blocked-attempt row or an emailed alert reads
an hour or two off, the time zone here is the value to compare against your
Shopify settings first.

**An amount is formatted unexpectedly.** The store currency row tells you which
currency Prime MOQ is treating as the base for every value rule. For how
converted amounts are written for shoppers in other currencies, see
[Currency rounding](https://primemoq.app/help/settings/currency).

**A scheduled rule starts at the wrong hour.** Schedule times are written and read
in the time zone shown here, so this row is the one to compare against. See
[Schedule a rule](https://primemoq.app/help/managing-rules/schedule-a-rule).

## FAQ

### Why can I not change these values here?

They are owned by your Shopify store settings. Editing them in Shopify admin is the single place to change them, and this section reflects whatever is set there.

### How often does it sync?

There is no sync schedule to wait for. The section reads your store's current settings each time the page loads, so a change made in Shopify shows on your next visit.

### What if a value shown here looks wrong?

Compare it with your store's actual settings in Shopify admin. This section only mirrors what is set there, so a wrong value here means the value in Shopify is the one to fix.

### Does the time zone here affect when a scheduled rule starts?

Yes. It is the time zone your schedule times are written and read in, so a rule set to start at 09:00 starts at 09:00 in the zone shown here rather than in UTC.

**Best for:** Confirming which currency, locale and time zone Prime MOQ is working in without leaving the app.
